Program "Malaysia, Jom Check!": Karnival Kesihatan Komuniti

Dewan Komuniti Taman Cempaka, with Klinik Cempaka

Ruang Karya was invited to take part as a vendor at this community health carnival run by Klinik Cempaka alongside the PeKa B40 health screenings — a booth of Labu Sayong work, painted ceramic pieces and craft sets set up beside the screening stations, open to anyone who came through for a check-up.

Kunjungan Hormat Delegasi UKM & RCUS Jakarta

Halaman Suri Sejahtera, hosted by Sekretariat Pembangunan Wanita dan Masyarakat Perak

A delegation from Rujak Center for Urban Studies (RCUS) Jakarta and LESTARI, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, visited Halaman Suri Sejahtera for a day of shared learning on age-friendly ageing — community-based care models, the programmes and services built around senior citizens, and what active, healthy and inclusive ageing looks like in practice. WIBAWA LEGACY ran three of the day’s sessions: a Japanese language class, music therapy, and caricature.

A school group spent the day with us at Time Tunnel, organised together with ZingArt Space — hands-on clay work alongside pottery painting, with every participant leaving holding a piece they had finished themselves.

Ruang Karya hosted a live pottery-making demonstration at Time Tunnel Ipoh Old Town, during our six-month pop-up there, giving visitors a close-up look at the wheel-throwing process behind our ceramic work.

Brainwave Festival Perak 2026

SK Seri Aman, Pokok Asam, Taiping

Ruang Karya was a vendor at the Brainwave Festival, a national-level innovation festival hosted by SK Seri Aman. The day was built around innovation and creative AI poster competitions, with VR gaming and robot battles running alongside. Our booth held a table of Labu Sayong and ceramic work beside a painting table, where children coloured their own tiles and figurines and carried them home the same day.

Hari Terbuka Perpustakaan Awam Negeri dan Digital & Festival Sastera dan Seni Kanak-Kanak

Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Negeri Perak

Ruang Karya was one of three craft vendors at the state library’s two-day open day, held together with its children’s literature and arts festival. Alongside a booth of Labu Sayong and ceramic work, we ran a pottery painting table that stayed busy across both days — children painting their own pieces and carrying them home the same afternoon.
